This is the last appearance for seniors in Frost. It is also a chance to see the Jackrabbits move closer to an improved game of 40 minutes. The first game in Omaha was a close game 68-61. Many of the game stats were very close between the teams. Pilakouta is always having a good game against the Jackrabbits and her 17 points and 5 boards and 2 assists were another steady game in Omaha. Coach Banks(who is in her 3rd year has attained 11 wins this year) shows improvement of her 7 wins/season for the first 2 which includes a win over the Jackrabbits in her first year at the SLT. Omaha lacks length outside of Pilakouta & her sub(Gardner) which means the Jackrabbits should have a large advantage on the boards that was not evident in the first game. I anticipate the Jackrabbits to show an improved game today. It will be a great day to come cheer and appreciate the seniors for their closing day at Frost. Go Jacks!!

Quite a day at Frost! It was bittersweet to honor the seniors. Myah was choking up as she stood out on the court, as was this Jacks fan. -
I thin we can see that most teams will be physical with the Jackrabbits as they try to slow the game down. Omaha was doing lots and grabbing and holding knowing the refs will only call so many fouls. Pilakouta and Gardner are both large and strong which brings contact both sides of the ball when they are in the paint. The remaining games with KC and ORU will differ in that ORU will want to run up possessions. Today's game saw the women overpassing on occasion even when a good shot was presented. SDSU had +19 on the boards with 18 offensive rebounds. They took 22 more shots than the Mavs. Fenton was on site today to present the regular season Conference Championship to the Jackrabbits. Some other high points would be 22 assists on 30 made shots and some starters who played 30 minutes.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans.
