You can hear the Yote bench counting down the shot clock when it gets below 10, and they do it on almost every possession after they dribble it around the perimeter for 20 seconds.

Sloppy 2nd Q on the offensive end but talk about a defensive effort. Larkins can’t get to the rim with Paige/Dru really playing wel keeping in front of her.

Gylten has almost as many impressive no-look passes as 'Yotes do points.

The only bright spot for USD: their announcer is good. I’ll take him over Elsen for sure.

Kind of appropriate when USD called a timeout in the 3rd quarter to stop a Jacks run and Midco went to a Bud Light commercial with the song "I believe in miracles ".

It's aggravating that ESPN feed isn't available when typically it's just Midco anyway.

most usd fans probably think this means that their team is really improving since we only beat them by 31 instead of 59 and we scored 70 something instead of almost 120.

Incredibly dominant defensive performance for about 2 and 1/2 quarters. at that point usd had about 15 points which is absolutely incredible!! but wow we took the foot off the gas after that, very very understandable!!!

i am sure we will never hear any reasoning for switching the starting lineup and this is definitely gonna workout fine, but i really liked the spark that Paige was giving us off the bench. She is much more aggressive looking for her shot than Dru is, which is sometimes nice and / or useful coming off the bench

followed used thread on their site, no emotional victory in only losing by 31. mostly their coach had a poor plan and AJ is just outcoaching her. someone wondered if the Jacks are holding back their play against the other conference teams and letting it go against them. then said if that was true then lookout in the tournament if the Jacks let it go against everyone else.

On AJ's radio post game interview, it sounded like Paige may continue starting, although he didn't come right out and say that.

I dont think he meant the coach had a bad plan, but i felt like D Brown spent an awful LOT of time talking about usd having a poor offensive approach. then in the last quarter and a half acting like, wow where was this the whole game and if you can do it now why couldnt you do it in the first quarter

seems pretty silly to try to blame this on the game plan, the execution, or the approach, or anything else other than the Jacks are just a way way better basketball team and when they are fully engaged usd has ZERO answers for competing with them

I’ve felt some of the previous games the pace was too slow at the beginning of the game causing some holes that had to be dug out of. The hole was usually dug out of when Paige entered the game. I saw Paige into the games sooner and sooner and thought it is only a matter of time before she is starting again to avoid the slow starts. The interview this week on Kelo Sports with Dru and Paige seemed to point to a change might be happening. Dru emphasized it didn’t matter who is starting because the team is the most important thing.

With the tournements coming up the pace needed to be change starting the game and I think AJ knew that. Granted usd is really a bad team this year, but the Jacks had a starting energy that hasn’t been there for years in the Vermtown.

My money is on Paige staying a starter.

How about that 2-point second quarter! It was almost kind of awkward being in the building while that was unfolding. The place was about 1/3 full and 1/3 of the people that were there were SDSU fans. You could say that we kept the cheering respectfully low key, given the slaughter! It’s stunning how far USD has fallen. That’s was like a game against Dakota State.
