  • GDT: St Thomas vs SDSU 7pm Frost Arena Midco

The 2-7 Tommies played the Jackrabbits in a close game at St Paul. The Jackrabbits shot 37% overall with 22% from deep. The Tommies did not shoot well either and committed 24 turnovers. We can hope the Jackrabbits are "splashing" shots with more consistency in Frost. Tonight is the #BeatType1 game which is a carryover from Tom Douple days. After a couple of close games on the road last week, the women should have an extra edge on the home court. Go Jacks!!
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Jacks pounding it inside tonight. Off to a quick 17-4 lead.

Shooting 68% from the field and 71% from
the 3. Unreal. This team knows how to move the ball and get great looks.

The offense went stagnant when the bench came in during the third quarter. They were much better when they came back in to finish the game.

Yeah, no kidding. Put up a measly 99! (Just having fun here, don't take it the wrong way!) You almost have to feel sorry for most teams that come into Frost Arena.

it was also during the third quarter that we ran a line up with NONE of Selland, P Meyer, or Gylten on the floor and STU put on a press. we generally got the ball up the floor ok but we never really got into any type of offense

i am sure that AJ likes to test the players and put them in uncomfortable situations and force them to learn.

Agree, at no time were we in danger of losing the game, they all work hard in practice, so why not? Making better is the idea.

yep. i know people get frustrated when we dont whip everyone but winning games by 30+ provides challenges of its own. you win a bunch of games by a wide margin, it can be a challenge when you get into a close game again. AJ does a good job of trying to create challenges and things to work on. he keeps the girls focused on improving and executing regardless of what the score is or WHO is on the floor

St. Thomas goes down to Vermillion and beats USD rather handily. I watched a few minutes of it. For a Saturday afternoon, couldn’t have been more than really a few hundred in the crowd. Looked very empty. They’ve been complaining lately about lack of media coverage but what do they expect when their own fans don’t even show up for games.
