    congrats Jacks
I've been in a rock fight as a kid, lots of fun, of course didn't get hit mainly because we had the high ground, but there are so many launched and in the air you really had to be vigilant, Ha! To end on a good note, no one got hurt luckily, but it was so much fun it kept us occupied for quite awhile

And they are doing it while shooting 25% from 3, which we know is going to get considerably better.

What’s interesting to me is that she attempted more 2 point shots in the last two games than she did all of last year. For her to get more PT she needed to not just be a camp at the 3 point line player offensively, improve her defense, and rebound better. Looks so far like she had worked in all 3 and is bringing that to the table. Would be good to see her succeed after the tragedy of last year.

Man, so many talented players on this team. If you struggle even a little you my find other players passing you by quickly. It’s a good problem to have!

Now we just need to find the range from 3 and we will be really tough to guard. Oh yeah, I think Myah is kind of good…

SO GOOD to see them get back to a commitment to winning the rebound battle. without question the two keys to the game, were first just standing up to the unbelievably physical aggressive style of the cardinals. i mean WOW for a moment there i was beginning to miss getting to play against Hannah Sjervin. GREAT GREAT job by the girls! even with the 20ish, whatever it was turnovers, i thought they did a great job of putting up with their pyhsicality and keeping composed and working to find open teammates and get good shots

but they won this game on the boards and i TRULY BELIEVE if we had had this commitment and determination on the boards against Creighton and UCLA this team would be undefeated right now and probably looking at a top 15 rating. if they board like this going forward it is going to take a very very special game to beat them

                FUN TEAM!! EXCELLENT WIN!!

and MV is not the only one who lost someone last year. and before the year AJ was with coach close from UCLA when she lost her dad, so he has been absolutely surrounded by loss in the last 18 months. TOTALLY agree with you the coaches and i think really everyone around this team, and probably MOST OF ALL the teammates have helped to get through these HUGE challenges

obviously those things are private and the team kept it all very private. i definitely dont want to speculate, but i really have no doubt that these girls believe going through those things together have made them both closer and better

and YES it is very nice to see MV finding her game and most of all her confidence

The level of physicality started early this season, and against Miss State I believe, I was watching replay and saw Kallie moving all herky- Jerky rather bizarre looking under the basket in the paint and after closer examination I saw her defender had her arm with her body shielding the refs view, violently pushing and pulling her very hard, didn't phase Kallie one bit, caught a pass and dropped in a bucket. Basketball is not a non-contact sport for sure at times.

Very impressive win. Can't wait to see what happens when Paige Meyer gets back in the lineup.

We've come oh so close twice before , at least that's all I remember anyway, lost by two to #2 seed Baylor in our first year we were eligible for NCAA tournament play in 2008- 2009 on a last second length of the court layup, and also the come from behind layup by Stanford in 2015-2016 in the last seconds for them to eek out a 1 pt win. Excuse me , I remember Tera Vanderveer saying we were the same as a 5 seed when we as a 12 seed upset Miami to advance to play Stanford. So , Stanford was a # 4 seed not a # 2 seed (not top ten ranked), but a win would have gave us our 1st sweet 16 game way before we got it defeating Syracuse. We had some close games too,but in the 4-6 point range, with Baylor, again, ( they were in the South Point Casino shootout in Las Vegas on Nov 23, 2018) and with Louisville playing in Frost Arena, but don't remember their rankings at the time. I do remember we lost to Baylor by less ( we lost by 6) than who they beat in the NCAA Tournament games except for ND (lost by 1 to Baylor)) in the Championship game, and Oregon (5 pt loss) in the semi- final , but again , it was way early that season we played Baylor. Still, a very good showing. So we have some history of being a very good and dangerous mid-major at times in our brief time ( 19 yrs , 4 yrs in transition, in Div 1.

Baylor in 2018-2919, defeated #1 ranked UConn by 11, but lost to the Cardinal Stanford by 5 pts during their regular season which they finished 37-1. That team was loaded and had 6'7 center Kahlani Brown, 6'4 Forward Lauren Cox (she was a good outside shooter too) 6'3 Queen Egbo, a 6"1 , a fast and athletic Gaurd DiDi Richards, and as freshman , two players the Yotes fans are familiar with in their win in last seasons NCAA Tournament , 6'2 forward NyLyssa Smith and 6' forward Caitlin Bickle. AJ has always liked to challenge his teams.
