Doug Novak assumed the interim head coach as Nikki McCray-Penson stepped away due to health(10/12/21). The Bulldogs are preseason pick 9 of 14 for SEC WBB. Preseason SEC 1st team choice Rickea Jackson, 6'2" F, will lead the charge for the Bulldogs. MSU was an easy winner in game 1 against Alabama St 91-62. They will have some size to challenge the paint with 6'5" post Charlotte Kohl. The Bulldogs blocked 11 shots against Alabama St. The Bulldogs scored 48 in paint, 22 points on turnovers, 21 2nd chance points, 23 fast break points, & 20 bench points. The Jackrabbits should be able to bring those stats back to reality with some good defense and secure ball handling. It would be great for the Jackrabbits to have good memories of the first trip to Starkville. Go Jacks!!

This is my first time seeing Meyer play and you guys are definitely right that she is a difference maker. Wow. Timmer looks pretty comfortable out there amongst the SEC size as well.

This team is going to be very good when Selland comes back.

I also loved how AJ mentioned in postgame that team will have tomorrow off to root for other Jacks' teams playing important games (wonder who that could be)
