I agree, I actually thought Tori made some really nice moves in the loss. The shots just didn't fall. Was that a result of the injury, IDK?

The first time back on the floor after an injury like that, there has to be some anxiety, at least in the back of your mind about how things are going to hold up. That should be out of the way now. Talking about injuries, was it ever made public what the extent of Myah's injury was ? Lots of speculation about an ACL, but never saw that confirmed.

I would think the tweet of hers in the chair has to confirm it was a torn ligament. IDK, does it matter which one as far as rehab?

It did appear to be in a health care setting.

I think ACL's usually take longer.

That's just it. Before she was walking around. At the SLT she was on crutches.

Appears we will play on Sunday afternoon at 430. ESPN2. Game is in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center where UT plays.

https://twitter.com/sdstatealumni/st...092997633?s=21 Women flew out today. Very strict requirements when they’re down there. Can hardly leave the floor of their hotel. They also will be staying in San Antonio so commuting to Austin for games.

The good thing is all games will be on neutral courts, no unfair advantage this Tournament at least. Except maybe some Texas teams might be close to home.

Unless the Texas teams have played several game on that court, it shouldn't matter. The Texas players will be treated like all the other players so no home beds, fans or things like that.
I don't know how I feel about this matchup. Syracuse is somewhere around third in the nation in blocked shots. SDSU has most if not all their players that either post up or drive into the lane to get short shots. We might need Vlastuin, Stapleton and Irwin to hit at least 7 or 8 threes to stay in this game unless some other players step up from outside.

Basically to have any chance in this game we are going to need our guards to create and hit shots from the perimeter. Our post players are going to find it rough sledding down low so they will need to hit mid range shots and take the "easy" ones when they present themselves. Kind of a big ask. I hope I'm wrong.

Syracuse has a 6'7 freshman post who was ACC newcomer of the year, and also co-defensive POY. So you are definitely correct about problems scoring inside. Omaha's size seemed to bother us, and this seems to be another level beyond that.

Sounds like Syracuse will be getting at least one player back (Tiana Mangakahia, who missed all of last season due to stage II breast cancer and recent tournament games due to a knee injury) and possibly Priscilla Williams, who suffered a head injury in the quarterfinals

Agreed. I think we have the personnel to win this game, but a couple of the big-minutes players will have to simultaneously have the best game of their career. Weird things happen on the court in March.
