Okay, AJ's coming back... let's push the legislature to get rid of this STUPID one-year contract rule before we lose him again!

THERE IS NO SUCH RULE OR STATUTE! Who makes this stuff up?! The only limitation on the length of contracts issued by the state is simply that all funding is dependent on continuing appropriations from the legislature. Multiple contracts are signed EVERYDAY by state government. The only thing stopping a multiple year contract is the will of the Board of Regents, they can approve one if they want.

first of all if your going to make fun of me make it make sence.... second of all I think the 1 year contract has to do with money and the fact that its a school. Every teacher that I know has a one-year contract, that has to get renewed every year... Generally if its not renewed its for a reason, but under south dakota law there doesn't need to be one.

Here is the deal. This is a chat forum in which everyone including yourself is allowed to voice your opinion given the very few rules that we are all asked to follow. You have put stuff out in a number of posts that make you an easy target. If it is getting old then your options are to quit posting on the site or to shape up the posts. How many times do you plan on doing the same thing and expect a different result? It wouldn't hurt to loose a little of the attitude as well.
