USD didn't play the University of San Diego last year.  The Coyotes only games against D-I schools were a pair of losses in exhibition.  They lost by 10 to Creighton and they lost by 19 to Iowa State.

Looking back further the Coyotes did beat USD in exhibition in 2002-2003 season.  The same season that SDSU won the D-II National Championship (had to throw that in because we are spending to much time talking about USD   ;D  ).

    Go State!  ;D

For that matter, you might want to let the Coyotes know about the game:

My bad, I guess it was the 2002-03 season.

I'm glad my USD friends don't read this website. I always brag to them that we have more people working for the Argus Leader than they do, I also brag that we have more people in the sports dept. I didn't think I blowing smoke up their a$$, apparantly I was. Oh well, I'll continue to do it the next time we talk about our mass comm. majors compared to theirs.

Both are very good programs with really talented and committed faculty. SDSU has been around longer (accredited since 1948 while USD was accredited in 1997) but they're both good and well thought of in the field.

                    Re: Chad Lavin on KWSN

Chad Lavin is irrelevant in my mind. If a women's BB player chooses USD over SDSU because of Chad, the problem is hers, not ours.

My opinion, SDSU would have been one to contend for the DII national championship this year, as the NCC's best do almost every year. Instead we are talking about NIT eligibility. I'm happy with our current position.

Maybe this isn't the thread for it, but how would you say this SDSU women's team stacks up against the teams from the last 4 years. I've already heard someone say that they think this team is our best ever, personally I think the National Championship team was our best. What does everyone else think?

                        SDsportsFan,

This would be a great topic for a new thread. Why not start it since it was your idea.

                          Re: Chad Lavin on KWSN

Copy of my post from Alabama thread (don't know how to move them):

I didn't hear Lavin's interview, but have heard him before and it sounds like nothing he hasn't said before. There is no way he will ever give a straightforward compliment to a SDSU program (he is a USD coach and that would be grounds for termination ), so he slides in a back-handed one (their success proves how good we/NCC are), along with a little bit of jab to get people riled up (but we/NCC could still beat them).

He still succeeds at one part, getting people riled up. We will have to wait and see if he can continue to succeed at his primary job.

                            SDsportsfan,

I for one wonder about your true allegiances. To me - you sound like a casual fan - equally for SDSU and USD. If that is the case - that is perfectly fine. If so - please don't pass yourself off as a SDSU supporter.

You wonder about my true allegiances because I tell my USD friends that we have a better mass comm. dept than they do. ??? Or is it the fact that I have friends that went to USD that makes me a non SDSU supporter. Just because I don't bash USD for no reason doesn't mean that I'm not a true SDSU supporter. Do I have to make posts that are running down USD for anything they do to prove that I'm an SDSU fan? Bashing another school doesn't make you a true fan of your school.

I am not talking about bashing another school. But it seems in the majority of your posts - you are sticking up for USD or pointing out a USD accomplishment. As a die-hard SDSU supporter - that would be the last thing that I would ever do. I have never liked USD and never will and bet most SDSU fans feel the same way. USD fans feel that same way about SDSU.
