Re: New WBB Argus Article
The Argus article refers to comments by Carl Adamec. He is a writer for the Manchester Connecticut Journal Inquirer. I can't find his article on the internet but have a hard copy and thought you might enjoy a reading a little more of the article. Here is the introductory part.
By Carol Adamec
"There are six teams that own non-league winns over multiple SEC opponents this reason, Duke, Baylor and Rutgers are in the top 10. North carolina State is in the top 25. Louisville isn't easy to play against as the Big East members will learn next year.
"Meet the sixth --- South Dakota State.
"The Jackrabbits handed Alabama its only home loss of the season so far and also own a win over Kentucky in the Paradise Jan tournament in the Virgin Islands.
"They've routed Big 12 member Oklahoma State on the road and have single-figure losses to Purdue of the Big Ten and Pac-10 schools USC and Oregon State. They gave Rutgers a battle, trailing by six with 12 minutes left before falling by 18.
" Not bad for a Divsion 1 rookie."...........
There are a number of comments from AJ as well.
I find it very interesting that a newspaper from Connecticut (Manchester is 10 miles from Storrs where U Conn is located) would have a good size article on the Jacks Women's team especially since we did not play U Conn or any nearby team. Just one more example of the great publicity.
