    Re: '07-'08 schedule

The women's basketball schedule for this year can be viewed on GoJacks.com

    Here is the linkhttp://www.gojacks.com/SportSelect.d...44&SPSID=64553

The OOC portion of the schedule looks great. We get a Pac-10, Big-10 and Big-12 school, with the Big 12 game at home. AJ was also able to schedule 2 Mo. Valley schools, with one at home and one on a neutral court along with a Mountain West and a couple of Sunbelt teams. Almost every OOC team is from a BCS conference or finished in the top 100 of the RPI last year.

    Go State!!!

So much for easing into its inaugural year in the Summit League.

The South Dakota State women's basketball team will open the 2007-08 season with eight consecutive games against teams that both reached the postseason and finished in the top 100 in NCAA RPI - before opening conference play at defending Summit League tournament champion Oral Roberts.

In all, the Jackrabbits will play 13 games against teams that reached the postseason. That's up four from last year, when SDSU finished 25-6, ranked 45th in RPI and became the first school to reach the WNIT while in transition to Division I.
"We've always tried to play a tough schedule," said head coach Aaron Johnston, whose team graduated just one player. "I don't think this year is any different." . . . (read more)

And a very doable 8 hour drive, done many times as Mom's siblings were in Madison.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Valpo on your schedule. This is the first Summit League schedule I have seen to have Valpo as a non-conference opponent. It ought to be a good game.
