      Re: Isha Vanterpool leaves team

This is not good news. I thought Isha had potential as a SDSU women's basketball player. I also recognize she has a private life and what the issues are that made here leave the team will be a subject of speculation and doubts no doubt.   Good luck to Isha where ever life will take her.

In situations like this do we get her scholarship back for next year?

Has anyone heard of a timeframe for the return of Stephanie Bolden from her injury? It'd sure be nice to have her back in the wake of Isha leaving the team.

Has anyone heard anything more about why Isha left the team. She was a scholar athlete at Huron so doubt grades had anything to do with it.

If I remember correctly I believe she did have some legal trouble in High School. I have no sources but for some reason remember hearing something about this last year.

Aaron was asked about Isha on KWSN and he commented that he was surprised that she did not return. He said sometimes kids just need a change. He mentioned he also transferred while in college. Would not replace her scholarship immediately. Is back on the recruiting trail this weekend.

To all who are wondering Isha did not have any legal problems during high school, did and does not have any grade problems in high school or in college. She is a a/b student and works hard.
Yes she quit due to the program not being what it was first thought to be and not being happy with the way things were going.
Yes she will be playing somewhere else and will be a terrific assest for that team and coaching staff.

Thanks mom. My earlier post was purely hearsey, as I stated. I still wish she would have stuck it out. She was and could been a great assest to this team. I'm not asking you to say, but I wonder what she was disatisfied with and where will she be playing next year?

I'm among those who thought she'd have a great career at SDSU, and am sorry to see her go. Pass along my best wishes and hopes for her success in the future.

                          8) Things will be sunny in the summer. Right now we are starting the process of elimination all over again. I would rather not say what exactly she was disatisfied with as she was averaging 10-15 min/game and 8-10 points per game it definitely wasn't that.
She is keeping her options open as she has had numerous phone calls and inquires already from different states.
Thanks for your support and concern it is appreciated.

Although it's hard for me to imagine not loving the SDSU experience ;D (that's my very first and last use of an emoticon), I hope Isha finds what she's looking for. Don't misinterpret conjecture on this website as ill-feelings towards your daughter. We're just a bunch of has-beens and never-will-bes that enjoy conjecture and speculation. However, no one here wishes anything but the best for Isha in the future. Good luck to you and your family.

                              basketball40 aka Mom:

Thanks for coming aboard and explaining what is going on in Isha's world. I was very impressed with her as a player, but her young world is more than basketball. I wish her the best and hope she reachs her classroom goals as well as those on the BB court. It takes courage to make changes in your life no matter where you are in the path of life.
