Does anybody know what happened to Lindsay Wasland. She was the JC transfer on the womens team that played her high school ball in Watertown. She is not listed on the roster anymore on the web page and she was not at the game tonight.

Good question, I had forgotten about her. She would be a nice addition to our inside game.

I know zip about the JUCO transfer. I watched about 30 minutes of the game. I tend to lose interest in any game once a game is a 30 pt spread win or lose. Not competition, but it was good to see the new roster.

No doubt very good talent, but with out Gilbert in the inside, we are struggling a bit. I think once we go up against the D1 opponents, rebounding may be the downfall. We dont have big ladies to battle on the board yet. UMC had us totally boxed out at times and the offensive rebounds were few and far between. Thank goodness this is about the only concern. Otherwise I think we are in for some good basketball from our ladies this year.

Women as the men where not having a good night at the free throw line. I think its pressure of being in front of a crowd.  The ladies probably have no trouble with FT during practice, as Nagy alluded to in post game show.

This game was over mid-way through the first half. Even though it was so one-sided, much of the crowd stuck around and cheered during the game. It was amazing to see.

Do you know why? It came down to all the bells and whistles in Frost Arena. Flashing lights, replays, crowd shots, and the pep band makes it quite the experience. I thnk people are captured by all the "bigness" associated with the place. I'm sure even the Crookston players thought it was a great experience.

It is no longer your daddy's Frost Arena. I think Stan Marshall would be proud.

I heard from a member of the athletic department that Lindsey Wasland has left the team. Not sure as to why, but I wish her well in the future.

That's to bad that she left. Wish her well.

The scoreboards looked much better. They fixed the things that some people were complaining about. They changed the bright yellow color on the score table and made it easier to read. Stats on the main board plus they still show video replay. It is fantastic! ;D

I liked the fact they changed the color of the background from yellow to blue for the table display. Didn't seem to shine off the floor as much. Stats on the center hung were nice too. Nice to be able to watch the dunks a second time (and almost dunk from Steve). They are going to be throwing down some good ones this year.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
