Minnesota Crookston's head coach is former SDSU Graduate Assistant Sheila Roux. Coach Roux was the GA at SDSU for the 01-02 and 02-03 seasons!

      Starters:

      sieler
      vogel
      verdegan
      meckley
      warkenthein

I believe gilbert suffered a concussion in practice last week, otherwise she may be the go to rather than meckley or warkenthein

        Halftime:
        SDSU 67
        UM-C 43

        Runnin' and Gunnin'

The future of the Jackrabbit women's program looks bright. The Freshman and Sophomores are really making it sound easy.

Remember, its Crookston. This team lost some talented players that will be hard to replace. I look for them to continue to be a beacon but there may be a few more struggles this year.

IMHO This is the most talented group of freshman ever to come to SDSU and won't take too long to make the leap to DI Basketball.

Don't disagree and this is the way it should be. As we have all seen with team like North Carolina in men's college hoops, young teams can win. I hope these women gel and I think we have the coach who can make it happen. The first real game comes on Nov 19th against the Huskers.

                    Wow, way to go Jacks!

I'm starting to regret not going up to Brookings tonight for this game, I will be watching the football game tomorrow though!

I was at the game, it something to see. 67 points in the first half, 60 in the second half.

For those of you who were concerned about seeing the score, you will be glad to know that the score, players in the game for both teams, their points and fouls were displayed on the big screens in the middle about 80% of time along with team fouls.. They are obviously working out what to show compared to the game Monday night.

This is what I've also heard from people very connected to the women's team.

Re: Women's Basketball: SDSU vs. Minnesota-Crookst

These stats really jumped out at me.

Assists: UMC 13, SDSU 35 (35 assists on 47 FG made)

                          Turnovers: UMC 33, SDSU 12

                          Steals: UMC 4, SDSU 2

We had 35 assists on 47 FG even though UMC turned over the ball 33 times. And with them turning it over 33 times we only got 2 steals? Were they just traveling on every play or throwing the ball out of bounds??

Looked it up myself, 119 vs Texas A&M International in 2003.

Not sure this game counts towards record book. 47 FGs would also break that record. Assists would tie a record from 1997.

Of course, all of these are DII records.

The stats on the board at the end of the game should that we had 21 steals not 2.
