I just hope that all SDSU athletes (and everyone in Jackrabbit Nation for that matter) are taking a close look at what Megan has done and how she has done it.
That girl knows the secret to success, folks. Love what you do, and commit yourself totally to doing it, and figure out a way to make it fun. You hear it constantly, but sometimes you are privileged to see the results, and those results look a lot like Megan Vogel.
This is a FABULOUS next opportunity for a LADY, A STUDENT, AN ATHLETE extradinare!
I may even need to become a Mystics Fan!
Watching this video is incredible! It's all been said about Megan but this thing takes it up another level for me.
AJ and members of the team talk a lot about the commitment everyone gives to make the program better than when you arrived!
Megan Vogel, you have done it! We won't know how much better until time unfolds but you're passion will be felt for years and years and have a profound impact on the players, coaches, and fans that are part of the experience.
The impact of that video alone on a potential recruit wanting to come to SDSU! WOW!
There can't be too many good things said about this special young lady!
LaTasha Byears bolted for the Houston Comets, leaving 16 players on the Mystics roster. Only 11 make the regular season roster with one as an injury reserve.

"Richie said Crystal may retire after this year. That's why he was so hyped on Vogel. He thought she would be the player to fill her spot. Let's hope so , we'll see. "
People on the WNBA message board seem to think that Megan is a shoe-in http://boards.espn.go.com/boards/mb/...813&lid=11
Looks like Megan has a blog on the WNBA site. Her first entry was quite informative. If you want to check out her blog, you can click on the link below.
Perhaps one of the moderators could make a new thread and sticky the blog at the top of the women's basketball section so you don't have to sift through this thread everytime someone wants to read her blog. I would also lock the blog thread so people can't clutter it up with a bunch of comments.
I put the link up as a prominent block on the right side of the main page of this site-- http://www.sdsufans.com .
I'm trying to keep a reasonably up-to-date listing of links of interest on the right side of the main sdsufans.com page. I've got Mid-Con, GWFC, Gateway, Western Wrestling Conference, and some media links over there right now.
New Blog entry from Megan. This young lady rocks! She will do whatever she wants in this world. I am so glad that my kids got to know her a bit and see her play.

Capped her South Dakota State career in a WNIT quarterfinal loss at Wyoming,
Attended a WNBA pre-draft camp in Cleveland,
Was selected by the Washington Mystics with the 19th pick in the draft,
And crammed almost four weeks of school work into two, while continuing workouts in the weight room and on the court.
Then, on Tuesday, she left for Washington, D.C. to check in with the team before flying to Chicago on Thursday for rookie orientation. She is scheduled to return to the nation's capital tonight and training camp starts Sunday.
Oh, it's been a whirlwind alright, but it could have been worse; the league used to hold its draft two days before training camp, Mystics general manager Linda Hargrove pointed out. And what if this opportunity hadn't come along at all? . . . (read more)
Megan has a new entry in her blog and it looks like Terry is incorporating it into his Argus-Sports/SDSU blog. Actually I think she is going to have her own blog space on the Argus site the more I check it out!!! That is GREAT!!
Good luck Megan!! Thank you Terry V.!! http://blogs.argusleadermedia.com/sports/category/sdsu/
