Women's Basketball: SDSU at San Jose State

DESCRIPTION:
The SDSU women's basketball team travels to San Jose State for a non-conference matchup. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Pacific Time (9 p.m. Central) from The Event Center on the San Jose State campus.

San Jose State looks to be a solid opponent and they just knocked off NDSU. This would be another big win for the Women.

As the WNIT remains a possibility (although slim) this is a must win game. San Jose is a decent team finishing in 4th place in the WAC last year, 18-12 overall. I'm hoping they take us lightly and we blow them out.

NDSU might be a bit down this year on the women's side.

Thanks, It looks like SDSU's record should match up with the others, however I'm sure politics will be the deciding factor. At least it gives the team something to shoot for. Something the Men's team doesn't have.

Looking at last years WNIT, i didn't recall Kentucky made it to the "Final Four" of the WNIT after we beat them earlier that season. ;D ;D

Not surprising as many nay sayers tried to poo poo our win over Kentucky by saying "yea but the Women's program isn't up to the standards of the Men's". This of course is true (after all Kentucky's Men's program has the most wins in NCAA history) , however the Kentucky Women's program is pretty good, as evidenced by their WNIT Final 4.

I noticed KY women finished tied for 9th with Alabama in the SEC last year - both with a 4-10 record.

Speaking of nay sayers, here is one now. Since you want to poo poo the Kentucky program and with it our win over the Wildcats, please explain how Kentucky made it to the WNIT Final Four, this should be fun.  :
