  • SDSU vs. NDSU Women - Sat

Big game tomorrow for the Women as NDSU is coming to Frost.  NDSU won last year and I think the Jacks will play harder this time.

AJ on the post game did mention that they treated this game last year like any other, but this year are making it a higher priority.  Also I think they have been looking ahead before the SMSU game.

With the game on Sat, I think attendece over 3,000 is a must and to break 4,000 is a possiblity.

A win will make it 8 in a row at Frost this year.

Looking forward to watching the Women's team win yet again at Frost.

I think NDSU isn't quite as good as in recent years relative to SDSU.

It all depends on whether or not the 3 pointers are falling for the Jacks. If they are, we win, possibly big. If they don't, it'll be a dogfight and we'll have problems with the Bison.

4000 seems reasonable to expect, at least close. I really think we have more potential than NDSU but we don't always play to our potential. NDSU will bring it on the defensive end and if we don't push the ball and take good shots we could fall behind early.

Need this win at home. Recruits will be in attendance for both schools. I consider this the most important game for A.J. and the team since the transition. It doesn't make or break things but a win assures we are firmly established at the DI level.

I know it's not a true conference, but it always looks good to stay on top of the Independent list:

          South Dakota St --- 13-8
          TX A&M Corp Chris --- 11-8
          North Dakota St --- 7-11
          Longwood --- 7-15
          Tx Pan American --- 4-16
          IPFW --- 2-17
          Savannah State --- 3-19

NDSU is in the high 200's for RPI so that also will be a boost to win and win big. To sweep NDSU and Texas A&M CC would be huge.

What a huge game for the Lady Jacks! Tell you friends, family and pets to come out watch what should be the game of the year in Frost Arena. A WNIT bid if the Jacks win out?

I'm betting on 3000-4000. Tons of stuff happening on campus tommorrow: BBALL Clinic, Junior Day, Corduroy Classic. Students should be around as they just got back from break, plus have a three day weekend coming up (the weekend of the men's game v. NDSU) Plus NDSU will bring a few hundred fans. Is there Brookings High School home games?

4000 plus last year, why wouldn't that many come out again.

Just stirring the pot a little...

Should be a great crowd with everything going on that day, at least I would hope so.

We had 4700 last year and this game has more meaning. Would be dissapointed with anything under 4,000!

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but the official NCAA RPI rankings came out recently. SDSU women are at 132, which is 2nd of all independents.

Texas Corpus Christi is 80. It will be tough, but if we win out, there is an outside chance at NIT.

Last years game was the largest crowd for a single women's game ever at Frost. Hopefully we break that this year.

I'd say 4,000+ is a reasonable expectation. 5,000 would be utterly fantastic, but I think the women's team has earned that kind of support the past couple of years.

The SDSU community came together behind the men's team Thursday night. We need to continue the process Saturday with the women taking on our biggest rivals.

                        Go Rabbits!

Re: SDSU vs. NDSU Women - Sat

If the women win the rest of their games, that would mean they will have beaten Texas A&M Corpus, NDSU and IPFW twice this year. That would certainly move them up to the top position for independents in the RPI and give them a 20-8 record. That is all they can do at this point.

We need to do all we can do to help them.

5000 attendence at the game tonight would really help their chances of getting selected. Go Jacks!
