I think if we can maintain an RPI in the 80's we've got a decent shot at the WNIT. Not guaranteed by any means, but since we're 2-2 against teams rated above us in the RPI (lost to MTSU & Marquette, beat Wisc-Milwaukee and Florida International) that shows that we're competitive against the top 96 programs in the country. More than anything else, the WNIT is going to want competitive games.

Here is a link to an ESPN story about the NCAA Women's tourney seeding. Although we are not eligible for the NCAA tourney it is interesting and that tourney will effect us and our chances in the WNIT

        Re: Womens RPI update

I listened again to the most recent Argus Sports Web. When asked about our chances at a WNIT invite this is what  AJ said "For us, we are going to have to be in about that top 90 (RPI) to be really seriously considered .  .  .  ."

So although not a lock at this point we are looking ok.  Bottom line is keep winning Jackrabbits!

The new NCAA RPI ratings are posted on the women's NCAA page. We moved up to 125 on this chart. What sucks is that Texas A&M CC is 107 and we beat them twice by 23.
