GDT: Jackrabbits vs Bobcats @ Frost

The opening home game for WBB will bring in Big Sky preseason favorite Montana State, There are 5 seniors on the roster which brings some experience into Frost. There are 4 players averaging double figures and another that scores 9.7. The best rebounder is a transfer from North Dakota. The Bobcats are shooting 48.4% from the field with 42% from 3 pt. They shoot about 1/4 of their shots from deep. They have been getting about 47 boards per game compared to 28. They have played 2 of their 3 games against lower divisions. UC Davis is the lone D1 win in the 3-0 record. Hopefully the Jackrabbits can keep the Bobcats off the offensive glass and create defense that will stifle the shooting to get the home court win. Go Jacks!!

It's on WNAX FM 104.1. Don't know which station is carrying it in the BKX area.

passing into post players could be better,one time on a pass attempt into the post, not one but two defender rushed in first and were fighting ea other for it, that's how easy it was for them to read the passes it was for them that first half, 9 to's already, this with us shooting overall better than the bobcats, have to learn to take advantage more when the opposition can't shoot well, we are ahead, so , can't complain much...jus the obvious....good defense as usual

Burckhard no shots taken, she does have 3 ft's though...we need to get her involved in the offense more, better passing too, handling MSU pretty good so far though

Looked better in the 2nd half. Officials struggled both ways, seems that WBB has many poor officials in the pool. Tough to get any flow with games called so inconsistently.

People weren't moving much in first half,just standing in a spot and trying to force a pass in to a defense laying back just waiting for it.Third quarter was much more aggressive, assertive, purpose-full, people moving much quicker and speedily.Also got better passing angles and avoided the harrassing defense a little better, which cut down on deflections and balls knocked loose and picked up by the opposing team. MSU was a very disruptive defense, but we'll see a lot of similar defenses on our schedule.Thought the second half was much better again, don't know why it takes a little time to get going really well, but glad it happened and we got a little bit of a cushion to close out the game with the win.Love it when all 5 players are playing as a unit ,moving smoothly, nice crisp passing and everyone knowing exactly what to do, when to cut and ready to catch. It's a beautiful offense to watch when that happens.The third quarter was like that much of the time.
