GDT: NJIT HIGHLANDERS @ SDSU JACKRABBITS

NJIT is on the road to play in Brookings and Fargo. The Highlanders have not had too many winning seasons in their history. They are waiting for their first home game to play in their new arena. NJIT women are picked to finish 6th in the ASUN where FGCU is favored to win the conference. There are 2 players 6' or taller. One of those is an incoming freshman. SDSU has played and beaten NJIT 3 times and 25 points was the closer game margin. Tonight's game could be a repeat of those large margins. It should give the rotation an opportunity to continue some timing and confidence as the games will quickly become more competitive. This should be a solid win. Go Jacks!!

Agree,running up a big score probably isn't as important as getting court time for still developing players,it won't be long and we'll start to really need them.But ,make sure we don't cut it too close ,and win the game obviously.If we are really good,this shouldn't be of much concern even,unless NJIT has gotten a whole lot better,I expect they have some,but not enough.The more we jack up the score early,the deeper we go to giving bench players playing time.Hope they get a lot.

How about that depth! The relative lack of minutes for Palmer/Tracy is a big indicator of a new era. Quite a difference from last year. Miller seemed to be back in form and Selland lives up to the hype in her first game. This should be a fun season.

11 players with 9 or more minutes. Madison Guebert logged 27 minutes with no other player more than 21 minutes. The game in the second half could be defined as uptempo. The NJIT defense struggled to cover the speed and ball movement during this stretch of the game. Chynna Stevens seems to be ready for her senior season. A quick trip to the East Coast for a Sunday game will be a test for a tight schedule with 2 games in 3 days.

I think Ellie should be at 999 pts and should become the next 1,000 pt scorer for the Jacks.She had 989 to start the season and got 10 vs NJIT.Very hard working Jackrabbit and happy when she reaches that milestone (looks like it'll happen on the road) very shortly.
