The 2017 Puerto Rico Tip-Off has been moved to Myrtle Beach due to weather issues, per release.

There may need to be a change for the women's game in the Puerto Rico Clasico scheduled within a week of the Tip-Off in San Juan. The women are scheduled to play less than 40 miles from San Juan.

I was wondering about this,was hoping it wouldn't be cancelled due to the devastating hurricane that hit PR.

Likely to be changed as all recovery agencies are struggling to get both PR and US VI back up and functioning. Recovery, when every bit of infrastructure (communications, water, sewer, power) needs to be replaced (not just rebuilt) is a much more time-consuming situation. There is also a non-federal cost-share, and when the economy was bust before, where are those $$ coming from? If PR is up, and mostly functioning by 1/1/18, I'd be very surprised.

It's nice to bring a couple new guards (including one with a year of Big 10 experience) to let her ease back into things. Hopefully a year of watching and helping her replacements taught her a few new tricks.
