I am not sure when it was announced, but KELO had Abdouch as the Player of the Year in their view. She was in competition with 3 other 2024 SDSU recruits and a Dordt recruit from Ethan. Squires of Sioux Valley was named the boys POTY.

I noticed that as well but iIt looks like some of them are bending more at the knee than Mesa is, so it’s really hard to tell height by the photo. Interesting how some are wearing different shirts than others too! Very much looking forward to finding out how far this talented team can go this upcoming season!

If you look at the team picture, their feet positioning forms an arc, with the center of that arc (Brooklyn) the farthest back, and the ends closer to the camera, how much that makes Mesa seem much taller, I don't know, or, maybe she 's grown some from her listed 6'2 , I don't know that either. The front row people have to crouch down a little to not obscure seeing those in the back, not a photographer, but maybe the type of camera lens has something to do with it? It does make Mesa look like a giant, I concur with you.Last edited by jackdaniel; 06-04-2024, 09:47 PM.

Mesa's come such a long way from her first year here, look for her to continue her growth and have an excellent upcoming season with blocks, rebounds and scoring, she's generated into a solid / very good player we can rely on always to give her best. Last season she emerged and caught fire and became a beast, look for her to continue to play that way and contribute even more this season.
