GDT: Jackrabbits @ Fighting Hawks of UND

The last time these teams played it was a D2 playoff game in 2004. There may be a more regular schedule going forward if the Fighting Hawks land in the Summit as the rumors indicate. UND is currently 2-4 for the season with losses to Iowa, Texas Tech, Drake, and Kansas. They were picked 2nd by the coaches and 5th by the media for the Big Sky Conference race. UND will play 10 players 10 minutes or more. The jackrabbits could renew this series the same way they left it in 2004. That would be a victory for the Jackrabbits. The game will be televised on Midco and available on ESPN3. Go Jacks!!

I was sort of surprised Midco was broadcasting, as bad as the weather sounds up there. Glad they are though.

Jacks missed a handful of very makeable shots early and fell behind. The Guebert got going, putting up 8 quick points. Hopefully that get the whole team warmed up.

And... Guebert hits a third 3 while I was typing. She's on a tear!

I'm watching on Midco.

SDSU 34, UND 23 with 4:40 remaining in the second quarter.

UND doesn't look very athletic...it's a little surprising the margin between the teams isn't greater.

Ober goes out with 2 fouls. 11 point lead for the jackrabbits around halfway in 2nd quarter. Flaata comes in gets a board and plays serviceable defense. Tracy getting some minutes this half.
