The basketball season is very close as we get a glimpse of the women's team tonight at Frost. Hopefully the season is starting with no injuries. Graettinger, Bultsma, and Tracy will be on the floor playing for the Jackrabbits as the newcomers. Expectations for the WBB will again be high this year. The game will be on the Jackrabbit Sports Network with Brad Peterson announcing. Go Jacks!!

She never took off sweatpants. Mieras did not either. There must be a problem.

Graettinger has "sore fingers" from an incident in practice this fall, according to radio.

He also said they will have to determine whether to redshirt Mieras this season too. Didn't hear the injury

The bench had their way in the game. Tracy appears to be the freshman to see quality floor time. She seemed at ease and moved well in the offense and defense. Bultsma and Flaata did a good job at the post. Bultsma may have been a bit tight when missed some close inside shots, but she handles the spot(footwork) well in close to the bucket. Flaata was productive in her time getting rebounds and moving up and down the floor very quickly. Palmer finds the loose balls and her strength is evident when playing the defensive end. Alexander played 26 minutes and she had 6 assists to 1 turnover with a couple of steals. She had some struggles shooting inside and out. Viso played 8 minutes and looked solid with her 4 assists. Ober and Thompson dropping in 33 points in their 20 minutes of play was fun to watch. They each made a 3 point shot as well. The starting 5 should be very tough to handle.

Didn't Mieras have some knee issues about the time practices started ?

i saw a team pic either on twitter or Facebook (can't remember) that showed JM with a big knee brace on. i have no idea whether she continues to wear it or not and how it will enter into this season.
