Once we got up six points late in the game, i thoght we had them.We have never been able to contain a teams best three point shooter it seems, once they get rolling.Happened again, let them back into it with their best three point shooter getting huge threes.Oh well, live and learn.
I'm just following on live stats. Isn't it double OT?
this is what happens when you wait too long to start playing. When we started making our run from -13 back...UNI got rattled and started playing awful...we could have done that to them a lot earlier and we wouldn't of had to face the team that's believing they can win the game
btw did I just hear as the radio broadcast went to comercial that UNI is now 3-5? Not great. But it is a win. This team has looked so good and then other times... Big ramp up for conference season needed in the next few weeks.
The Zen philosopher Basha once wrote, 'A flute with no holes, is not a flute. A donut with no hole, is a Danish.'
We need another post player as just lacking depth. Was is the story with Tiffany Flaata? Hurt or not talented enough to see meaningful minutes at this point?
You had to be there to see the angle, but when we banked in the three pointer to make it 76-74, yes, we were still down 2, I turned to my dad and brother and said that was a shot of destiny and that we were going to win the game. It had to have been about a 20 degree angle from the base line.....just an almost impossible shot to bank in....
*edit, looking at the post game write ups, the banked three made it a one point game 77-76.
Big 3 from Gabby to get the lead. Not sure what UNI tried to do on the last play with Keitel, who was a load to stop down low all night, stationed at the top of the key trying to throw a lob pass.
The end of the game was really reminded me of the win at Arkansas last season. That being said, this team needs to wake up and I think this game will do that for them.
That 2nd quarter was really hard to watch. Thank god for the depth of this team.
