I'm hoping it has something to do with his long trip to WIU. Otherwise, it shows a complete lack of knowledge of the sport.

Check out his tweets in reply to others. He is choosing to die on that hill.

Maybe just a more neutral thought. How many times if ever has this been done. I hate the we're just fortunate to be here and compete with Notre Dame mentality.

          Arrogant? That's ridiculous.

After the game, Muffet was in the lobby area visiting with many ND fans and other persons. There were many photos of ND fans with Muffet and she seemed very comfortable with the crowd. It did not seem to be too weird for the people who were there. I saw a family of ND fans(who I know) and they were very happy to have the exposure to the coach.

Does she take that mic if she loses?

my thoughts on the ND coach taking the mic. Notre Dames 2 wins this season were by 30 plus points. including last season how many times have they been challenged in their games except the final four. what was their margin of victory 35 plus points. the Jacks got beat by 45 points two years ago, this time 11, and they were in the game and had the lead for a long stretch of the game. that dont happen to them very often especially by a mid major. it was a great game and i think it brought Notre Dame back to earth and she will use this game often to remind her players that they can be beat by anyone. and if the Jacks had shot a better percentage I believe we could have won this game.

and look out opponents, this Jacks team is going to be a team to reckon with.

Her comments leading up to the game were nothing but complimentary to the players and the crowd and talked about how important this game was for her players to play a good team in a hostile environment. Hardly arrogant

You really think the fans and players were just fortunate to compete? No, we all wanted to win that game badly but when the clock was running out and a comeback was impossible, we showed appreciation to players for their effort. No reason to dwell on that type of game. Competitive, had our shots to win the game, played hard, etc. Can't fault the players for that

I think Zimmer and JackguyII are in the minority here. Hell, even AJ tweeted about it as a positive.

Yes he's in Illinois. Basically he said that it was condescending and that Jacks are constantly seeking approval from bigger schools and that he's not budging on his opinion about this

And we can all agree that everyone has an opinion. It seems that the person might need to be in attendance to get the flavor of the short impromptu speech. The ND players were a bit surprised when the crowd and Jackrabbit team accepted the results during the last possession. There was the typical standing ovation for the game as the players sagged from the ball handler. We saw some very good basketball in Brookings today.
