Re: SLT Championship: SDSU Jackrabbits vs. USD Coyotes
Good Luck Yotes with that WNIT bid. It will be interesting if ORU moved high enough to play post season.
Stiff D, and horrible shooting % doomed yotes by half. Leading scorers for Jacks, two Frosh. Sweet. Jacks WBB, just keeps getting better and better. All the while, staying true to upper mid-west recruiting. "It's a great day to be a Jackrabbit!
It's impossible to have that bad of a first half and come back against a great team like SDSU. Good luck in the tourney.
Hope the Yotes make a WNIT run like the Jacks did last year. In the end , Seekamp just had to carry too much of the load. Contreras seemed to not be herself during the entire tournament.
Re: SLT Championship: SDSU Jackrabbits vs. USD Coyotes
Seekamp is a dang good player. Her ability to take charge of a game and get to the basket remind me of Vogel. I'm happy that Waytashek and Clarin get to have at least one more game in the Big Dance.
The future is so bright for the Jacks. If the freshmen and sophomores develop we could be looking at a team that could realistically win a couple of tournament games. I think Miller, Thompson, Stevens, Ober, Young, and Alexander are that talented. Plus we add in another outstanding class. AJ has built quite the program.
Jackrabbits: Long ears, strong hind legs, gritty, relentless, fearless.

Ditto. Two mid-major powers in the Summit will be big progress for the league.
Project: make Summit the mid-major version of the SEC--beat the crap out of each other in conference and give everyone else (except maybe the top 10) nightmares out-of-conference.
SLT Championship: SDSU Jackrabbits vs. USD Coyotes
Order is restored! You can tell that there was a little extra revenge motivation today.
A handful if players had really good games. The backups were especially tough. USD talks about their depth, but they got a good look at ours today. Ober's more than ready to be a starter. Corneman had a great tournament. Stevens was a shot of energy off the bench.
Most of the game there was only one senior on the floor. This team would be the consensus preseason #1 for next year without considering the incoming recruits.

Note that Quinnapatic (sp?) beat out Marist in the MAAC. BYU beat Gonzaga, and USF picked off the other USD in the WCC. Would be good if two or more Summit WBB can be in discussion for the at-larges. SDSU was discussion again this year. Like that Jacks resolved with their dominant performance in the Summit Championship Game. After Megan W. nailed that last 3 to drive the lead to 72-57, it was definitely the final nail in the USD coffin.
That was the largest margin of victory since the 2009 team. Hope Jacks end up a 12 seed. Should be either a 12 or 13.
