The Pioneers come into the tournament with a losing record(8-22) for the second year in a row. Last year they advanced to the championship game. It certainly is an example of why they play the game. The Pioneers also remember that they beat the Jackrabbits in Denver a few weeks ago. The victory found the Pioneers scoring 77 points which is 17 points over the season average. Today I would expect the Jackrabbit defense to subdue the Pioneer offense and come away with the solid victory in front of a partisan crowd. Go Jacks!!

I think the women are going to come out and send a message to the league that this is still the Jacks league. This game will set the tone for the rest of the tournament. I'm feeling quite confident this year for both SDSU teams.

I'm expecting a stomping here too. I let's hope the women feel right at home. The big blue crowd will be there. If that's enough to make them play like they do at Frost, we are in for three fun games.

Jacks struggling to hit bunnies. Pioneers hitting @ high %. Jacks better team but shooting low % inside 3 line. Thank goodness shooting well from downtown. Jacks up 39-34 with minute to half

Played poorly for 2/3 of the game and still win by 18, weird. We'll have to play better and make the damn lay ups to win this thing.

Inconsistent play and nonexistent crowd. One of those games when the team and therefore the fans couldn't sustain anything.

In the end, a solid win. On to the semi-finals.
