Jacks had their bigs get 2 fouls early as Clarin,Ober and Thompson all had to sit. Fortunate to be up by 8 with their minutes limited.

Jacks lead 52-43 with 11 minutes left in the game.

The officials have made this game nearly unwatchable.

Jacks lead is cut to 4 with 9 minutes left in the game.

Jacks have given away the last two possessions which have lead to easy USD baskets.

              Final: SDSU 77, USD 67.

Waytashek with 18 points and 7 rebounds.

Miller with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Jacks lead the game for 33 minutes.

              Both teams shot 38%.

Jacks were 25-32 from the FT line.
USD was 15-20 from the line.

Jacks were +9 on the glass.

I have a feeling we'll see them again on March 10th at 1pm.

That felt pretty good. Getting a double-digit win in spite of awful first half 3-point shooting is a almost a surprise.

Another one bites the dust at Frost and momentum builds towards Sioux Falls.

When Miller had that stretch in the second half when she was attacking the basket , the Yotes had no one who could stop her. Also , I think Corneman earned the back-up minutes at PG with the way she handled the USD pressure after Alexander had problems with it.

The games still a little too fast for Alexis yet, although she's made great strides since early in the season. She's just a freshman, so she has plenty of time to adjust . Agree about Chloe, she just seems to be under control all the time and doesn't get too rattled. That's invaluable in pressure situations, TO's are killers ,especially if the opponent converts them into points.

If we can become a lot more efficient on offense, not talking just shooting %, that's part of it sure, but scoring on a greater percentage of our possessions is what I mean, we could be right up there with very good power 5 conference teams. Our rebounding and energy was excellent today, that's a big part of why we won. We are very young, except for our excellent seniors, whom we will miss a lot after this year is done.

                      ^^this^^
The more they pushed to get back into the game, the stronger our effort and determination was to not let that happen the second half. Impressed with the performance of our jacks this game, from everyone.

67 points for the yotes is a good defensive game. Contreras finished with 8. Seekamp scored 18 with many coming late in game and only 4 in the first half. This is a solid win with rough and tough game that yielded 47 fouls called. There were many wtf calls both ways. The home court atmosphere was great while Williams was working the refs from the beginning. She seems to be a Kim Mulkey disciple. The yote women play with intensity. The jackrabbits had much better results if they hustled back and made the yotes run an offense. If the defense allowed early penetration, it was part of the 30 points in the paint. I can see how the yotes average 80 points per game. Cornemann and Walters get the quiet award for good defense. Ober gets the hustle play of the year award(standing ovation). Miller shows why she should be the freshman of the year. Both teams play IUPUI and WIU to finish the conference play. The Jackrabbits should have a chance in the tournament even if the yotes keep first place alone.

According to USD athletic site, if Yotes and Jacks end up tied, Jacks win tiebreaker.
