Agreed. Tagyn Larson will be a nice addition for the Jacks. Coming out of high school, she seemed to have a high ceiling. She'll have to sit out for a year, I assume, and then have up to three years left to play for SDSU.

What would be the position for Larson? Would she be a 3, 4, or 5?

Raoul_000: WBB: Nothing official yet, but it's looking like ex-Hawkeye Tagyn Larson will be transferring to South Dakota State.

Before anything can happen, Iowa officially has to release her from her scholarship. Not sure if this has happened yet as the only thing announced is that she intends to transfer.

How do you know she isn't the best possible recruit?

I don't really,I just stated it might be a concern that she didn't get much playing time at Iowa.Then it got blown way out of proportion,I don't know why people are so overly concerned when someone has a differing opinion than their own anyway,it's ridiculous.

The same thing was printed in the Argus Leader. Here's my original post , before all the brouhaha ensued "I kind of expected this in a way,she got practically zero playing time at Iowa.Games played 5,min played avg 2,total 10 min played last year".

I believe it is the same. LOI is void if they don't get admission into the school.

And once that situation is passed, she would need to sit out a year to play at another D1 program.

The way I look at it,getting the best recruit we can is what's crucial to continuing to be successful.I'm sure everyone feels the same.

Added: That question is a little confusing. Assuming that Tagyn Larson is the subject of AJ's post -- and that is consistent with some "news" that is now in circulation -- what details must be met before we get beyond the coy social media suggestions and have an actual announcement? Larson will be a nice addition to the roster. Some Iowa fans thought the Hawkeyes were trying to get her to play a little out of her comfortable position but nonetheless she had a bright future at Iowa.
