There is not a formal seeding, but they certainly refer to tiered grouping according to region. Since travel is subsidized, it seems logical that they have a regional approach for the brackets. That may answer why we played Minnesota prior to Indiana(and why Indiana played Northwestern) in terms of travel and RPI ratings. Travel was a larger factor.
IF the Jackrabbits host UTEP, then we may need to understand that attendance is not the driving factor when bids are submitted.
