Steph another three .....14 point lead ......18 seconnds......going, going, gone....Jacks win after leading for just about the whole game......much better win on the road for the Jacks.
There were only 10 turnovers today. When was the last time that happened. That is a much improved stat in 1 game.
I think it's part of the reason they pretty much stayed ahead the whole game also, didn't have as long or as many scoring droughts either.
Makes winning easier when you get more shots in the game, each shot is less pressure packed when they aren't quite as crucial to winning because your getting more chances to score also.
A lot of basketball is about the little things and the overall perception of how well things are going on court, and it effects the way players play in subtle ways sometimes.
Certain players can handle these things better than others, they focus more, put forth more effort,or something, but they control themslves in the game depite ,pressures, bad calls, momentum changes, rash of TO's , cold shooting stretch, etc. They are the leaders who inspire the other team members to turn the adversity around and get things back on track. They are the "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" players. We have some of these type players, lucky for us.
Thank you SDSU women for getting yet another win on this apparently dark and horrible day in SDSU BB history. The first Summit road trip ended with two wins and the Jacks are alone on top of the standings. Almost as nice, the Coyotes are already 3.5 games back with virtually zero chance of winning the regular season title.

Our Jackrabbit women always right the ship for Jackrabbit athletics. I don't know how they did it in front of such a large and hostile crowd of 15 people at UNO! That really has to be disappointing for the home team and very difficult for the visiting team to generate energy. Somehow the women keep moving forward. To bad they play the same day as the men vs NDSU. At least they start 2 hours earlier so we can watch most of the game at one of the watering holes in Brookings.
