The Jackrabbits will blow into Omaha and hopefully get a solid road win. Omaha has 8 women in the current rotation. Their only senior-House-is the leader for this squad. Western handled them easily in Macomb and Omaha handled the bison easily at Omaha. However, the Mavs should not finish too much higher than the bison in the Summit. I do not like to say this is an automatic win, but the Jackrabbits should have an easier road game today after the scare at Western.

I hope we play efficiently.Watched ND destroy Pittsburgh on replay, much like they did us,Pitt hung with'em for the first few possessions, then they fizzled out and kept falling further behind.Lost by 40+.ND leads the nation in efficiency, about 51% in FG's.
Going through the top 50,ran accross IUPUI and Western Ill.We 've played and won against both, tight games. We pass alot, with the motion offense, each pass a potential TO.Teams are getting to know our offense and are taking away (disrupting it)pretty good, enough that we have high TO numbers and our efficiency is not the tops in the Summit anymore(might reflect our scheduling though). We're winning on sheer grit and bench depth and putting better players on the floor....not all positions, but the better five as a whole, most of the time, for most of the game.Do we have the athletes to be ND or Conn....no,but we do to beat top 25 teams (excluding the top 10 ) occasionally at home .
To make our way through the Summit easier, especially on the road, we have to improve our scoring efficiency, that means getting more points scored instead of comming up with nothing too many times and going into long scoring droughts. We can do this, but it takes all five players on the floor,a weak link and it's a TO.I'll be watching to see if we keep scratching out wins,or if we assert ourselves and genuinly improve our play as the season rolls toward the finish line.Big challenge,I think our team is up to the task.Last edited by jackdaniel; 01-18-2014, 10:35 AM.

Re: GDT:SDSU @ Omaha
It could be that the teams are doing a better job of anticipating on defense. It is also revisiting that some of the teams are getting better players. Ft Wayne, IUPUI, Western, and the yotes have improved the Summit. At this point, we still see the Jackrabbits staying ahead of the pack. It will likely not be a situation of a good year like UMKC had one good year. These teams are building better programs to compete. If there is an Achilles heal stat for the Jackrabbits, it would certainly be the turnover stat. When we play the great teams, it has been a road to losing. The 27 TO's on the road against Western almost brought a loss. Most teams would have been out of the game early with turnovers at that rate. It would be great if the Jackrabbits would average less than 15, but that has not been the norm for some time. Beat Omaha!Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife
