I'm not sure if she travels. Like I said above, I often forget she's there. Speaking of the radio, a moment ago JJ said that MTSU will probably pick up a few votes in the Mid-Major poll. I bet they'll be happy about that!

Doesn't give the score enough, too slow describing game action, questions are too wordy in post game are a few issues I can think of.

I don't mind his call, but his accuracy in his descriptions is lacking in several instances. It's fine with a video feed at home games, but on the road it's really tough to figure out exactly what's happening just by listening.

I just get frustrated at not being able to understand what he's trying to describe. I turn him off during home games. He's not accurate calling the game.

27 turnovers,all the foul trouble,don't know about rebounds.....and lose by only 15,must play really good defense.

There's a good reason to be optomistic,we get some things staightened out and we'll be a darn tough team to beat...one step,stop the snowball effect....be disciplined enough to not let one or two mistakes turn into many.

His style and Tyler M's styles are the same (I think JJ's Tylers prot'eg'e)Not fan of that style of calling...just me.I like the old mens announcers style,name escapes me,more laid back, easy going and listening to.I really like JJ's spirit though,wish i could follow him better than i do(old guy)

Steve Imming. IMO,he was one of the best at painting a picture of a game.

The move to the Conference USA pushed MTSU to the next level. They were getting votes in the Top 25 AP poll last week. It is tought to beat this bunch anytime.

Good announcing is like good story telling ,you don't tell the story good,it turns out awful ,you tell it good,it's beautiful.

I like Tyler's style, but his strongest sport is baseball, I really enjoy his coverage of that. Imming was pretty good, except he would get too worked up about officiating.

Um... no. JJ is not Tyler's protege. There is literally no comparing JJ and Tyler. Tyler is an extremely modest guy and wouldn't presume to "tutor" anyone else.

Here's what I know: Anyone in the industry will tell you that Tyler is an unusually talented play-by-play announcer. He is known for his preparation and deep knowledge of the sports he covers. He brings a great sense of humor to his work and delivers a straight call with no homerism. His idol? Vin Scully. SDSU will be lucky to keep Tyler around. Steve Imming was great, too, but I'm guessing Steve would tell you that Tyler is a unique talent who can call almost anything and can do radio and TV with equal skill.
