The best way the women get attention from Bemidji is that the hockey team travels with them. Hopefully they get a good Sunday afternoon welcome in Brookings from a good sized crowd. They compete in the Northern Sun. The Beavers are preseason pick for 14th in the conference. I would guess that Jackrabbits are ready for some game outside of practice. The season begins.

I'm always interested (and surprised that not a lot of Jacks fans feel this way) to see that first game of the season. It may be an exhibition, but we get to see how the returners have progressed, how the loss of last year's seniors have affected the way we play, and a chance to check out the new players who might only show up in early exhibition games. Anyway...it's GAME DAY!! -

I like the relaxed atmosphere of exhibition games,sit back, relax,munch popcorn,and get a feel for how well the team is playing this early in the season.I was amazed at how well we shot three's in the 2008-2009 season,I sensed we would do very,very well that year.Comment

Keri Young came in early and is getting a lot of minutes. Jill Young appears to be helping with the radio broadcast. Jacks lead 28-11 with 10:00 to go in half.

I am getting it on 1490 out of Mitchell. WBB is not on 570. Gojacks.com lists the stations.
