Cremes last prediction has us playing Neb as the #3 seed.This is totally ridiculous.Nebraska is ranked #24 or#25,depending on which poll your looking at.No way Nebraska gets close to a three seed.Realtime RPI has us playing #3 Maryland in Newark,NJ (close to Maryland if their fans travel any distance at all).If the past is any indication,our game will be a grind.Hoping we can get a number 13 seed,to avoid facing a tough 3 seed lineup,but not expecting it.We know which teams are probable, as either 14 or 13 seed,just don't know the exact matchup. Our ladies should start preparing now for a tough matchup,which I suspect that they already are.

I don't think the NCAA is going to send Maryland to Newark, NJ when Maryland's campus is a first round host site.

Correct, that's not how the women's tournament works. If a host team makes the tournament, they get to play on their home court. That's why Tennessee, a few years ago, had to go to Bowling Green's home court.

It would be a novel idea if the committee would keep the Jackrabbits in the Midwest this year. If they are interested in fan attendance for these games, it might be a benefit for the organization to lower the mileage for those teams that have a history of having fans travel. I notice many of the women's games have small attendance. Boulder or Iowa City might be handy for driving.

You'd think everyone would want to "host" games in the tournament.What an advantage ,and what's the criteria used to determine who "hosts" and who doesn't.Strictly based on money?How's this any different than what the WNIT does?Whatever happened to two teams playing on a "neutral" floor with neither team having an unfair advantage being able to buy home games?I digress.We need the Event Center to be completed so we can put in a bid to 'host" first and second round games.

"neutral court" has lost out in the consideration of the NCAA women's basketball committee to "butts in seats." That's why you have so many 1st/2nd round sites at sites that have demonstrated good women's basketball attendance.

If Sioux Falls and SDSU (or the Summit League) puts in a competitive bid, it'll get a first-round tournament on the women's side. And if SDSU makes the field that year, it's highly likely the Jacks would play the on the "neutral" court of the Sanford Events Center.

Exactly. The Jacks are never going to get a 'fair' seed/site. The best they can do is to make things unfair in *their* favor.
