  • scheduling..........

i noticed this a few weeks ago, but, am just now posting. 1 game in, i believe, 15 days leading up to the summit tourney? i don't like that. would rather see another game or two squeezed in there. i know some may argue it gives the jacks some time to recoup, but, i like the idea of being "game" sharp going into the tourney. thoughts?

Hopefully the practices do not get too rough. It seems more injuries happen in practice than in most games. They should be ready for the tourney.

As I recall, North Carolina women scheduled USD a few years back in between the ACC and NCAA tournaments so that they could be game ready. However, USD almost pulled off the upset and UNC has a relatively early exit from the NCAA tournament (than they were used to) so I don't think it really matters too much. As long as the team keeps its physical and mental shape, then they should be alright.

Just to be fair, the conference games are scheduled by the conference. We just happened to have the last two weeks be 1) against Omaha, where there is only a single game that week, and 2) against our travel partners NDSU, another single game week. It is very hard to try to find teams for games those two weeks, except for the independent (CSUB mind you), as everybody is winding up their conference schedules.
