Seems like the game moves just a little to fast for her still. Like she is thinking and not reacting to the situation.

TV posted some info today that puts MW's pair of 30-point games in perspective. http://terryvandrovec.tumblr.com/pos...nd-kansas-city

How rare is a pair of 30-point efforts? The Jacks totaled that many over the previous six seasons, one by Jennie Sunnarborg and one by Megan Vogel. The last player to hit for 30 or more twice in a season: Melissa Pater in 2002-03.

With two more years to play, Megan could really do some damage at SDSU.

It's hard to get 30 or over when you have (normaly) very balanced productive scoring from the team, bench included. You just about need the scenario of the UMKC game for one player to get that many points, team mates not able to score and getting the ball to Megan(who, coincidentally,is shooting very good).

For everyone else to score as they normaly do,and for one player to still get thirty or more points, you'd need a lot more possessions or a lot higher efficiency in scoring ,or both, and a highly efficient game in general(very few turnovers). It'd probably be a very high scoring game, probably a blowout, something on the order of the TCU game in the first rd of the NCAA tournament,IMO.

This is bugging me ,and I'm probably wrong, but need to be told i'm wrong, but, didn't Jenny Sunnerborg tie her previous career high of 31 pts during her and Jills senior day game last yr?I'm thinking I'm wrong, but get this nagging thought that she scored 31 once before the last time she did.Help!

Well, bugged me enough I went back to last yr's stats and i was wrong, she only had 23 for her senior game, she had 23 pts four times,a 22 pt game,21 pt game, and two 20 pt games + the 31,that's nine 20 pt. or over games....17 games in double figures,Jenny had quite the senior season. She had a 28 pt game her junior season, against UMKC

Megan may be getting the shots at some point due to Ashley getting extra attention. She is also getting shots due to her athletic ability. 11-17 FG with 7-10 3 PT is a good afternoon. Without leaning too hard on the stat sheet, it did not appear there were others having a super rough day shooting since the only other players who took more than 4 shots were Katie and Ashley. Megan may have more than the average when it comes to 30 point games in a career. This young woman may have a few lines in the history of Jackrabbit basketball. she may be the one to take some leadership the next 2 years. I would not become too concerned at this point that there are 30 point games since we have a strong supporting cast on the floor with her.

It looks like Sunnarborg had 23 points in the final game at Frost last year: (http://www.gojacks.com/ViewArticle.d...CLID=205388403)

if you didn't see the game Megan was hitting threes from a good 3-4 feet behind the line like in NBA range. you could tell by the way she got the ball and shot it that she knew it was going in.

i am not sure if there is a place to find quickly how many 30 point games Jen Warkenthien had in her career. Jen had many games with 20-25 minutes and a similar point total. Megan Waytashek could have those offensive talents honed as her career moves. It is a good tool to have on the team heading into the second half of the season. The rest of women will certainly benefit from the attention that will be drawn to Megan.
