Nice block by Lingle I think at the end, out on the perimeter. Way to play through that difficult finish. What a game by Waytashek. Too bad I didn't turn it on until 14:00 left in the second.

holy crap. now get the heck out of dodge and get prepared for the next one a bit better. teams are trying to play super physical against us and the refs are falling suckers for it. glad we got the win. Megan W earned that win tonight. would have liked a bit more help on offense from others.

I just saw the score and look forward to reading about the game. Wow. Kansas City was 4-5 (SL) coming into the game.

seems like lingle made some key baskets down the end. thats good to get her production. not sure how oconner was fould like 30 times in the game but she must apparently do something special taht gets the refs to call fouls when players look the wrong way at her.

Didn't get to watch or listen to the game, but our starters at the 4 & 5 spots play 46 minutes and don't score? Eide plays 27 minutes and scores 5? Seems to be a lot of complaining about the officials but it's going to be hard to beat good teams with that kind of production from your starters. If Waytashek doesn't go off, this game would have been a bad loss. Might be time for Lingle to get back in the starting line-up.

Its hard to judge a team or player performance by looking at a boxscore. Waytashek obviously carried the team offensively today. players go up and down, but the beauty of the womens team is that there are others to step up when some are off a bit whether its a starter or reserve.

Early in the game, she went to the floor twice hard,no fouls called, might have been a little play acting also(grimmacing, rubbing elbow,etc....maybe it really hurt, who knows)at the time,i was wondering if that would sway the ref's the rest of the game.It seemed to have.I was prepared to accept the fact that we lost this game, glad we pulled it out instead.

The ref's control the physicality of the game, period,if it was too physical, then it was because of the way they called fouls, period.Players do what they get by with,it's the ref's job to set guidlines of what they consider to be a foul or not.Players play correspondingly. They must be consistent throughout the game, and consistently make the same calls against both teams.

However, looking at the stats, refereeing would not be the sole cause of a loss (not grossly disproportional)per se.We could have made a few more FT's, few less TO's,got a few more rebounds, shot better(except for Waytashek),and the ref calls would not have made such a difference. It did kill our momentum a little, but players have to adjust.

and on an even better note. someone listened to our complaints as I now see the womens games are going to be broadcast on the gojacks mobile site at least on android.

Clearly Waytashek carried the team vs KC. But, we simply need SOME production from Leah Dietel and Megan Strop. They both pulled the 0'fer vs KC. Very lucky to win this game. Not much room for error if we want to win the conference and get the top seed for the summit tourney. Waytashek was incredible - maybe its been mentioned earlier - if not it should be that she is only a SO and will only get better.

Or Megan Stuart? Speaking of, where has she been? Not earning play time or injured?

I've heard A.J. say on post game reports that she needs to improve defensively...
