    NIU Huskies GDT

    SDSU Jacks are the Huskies' home opener. And the NIU team looks salty.

    -- NIU hosts its 20th home opener as a Division I NCAA basketball member with this game versus South Dakota State. Overall, the Huskies are 428-448 (.488) in Division I play. NIU is 34-21 all-time in home openers and has won five of the last six, including last season's double-overtime thriller over Western Illinois, 91-84. Since opening the Convocation Center in the 2002-03 season, the Huskies are 8-2 in Convo home openers.

    Keep some updates for us out the area.
    Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

      according to the game tracker in the first minute we have 3 turnovers. ugh must be some let down from beating Neb. down 2-0.

                no turnovers in the last several minutes. so far its a back and forth game both teams scoring about the same rate.
