This whole discussion makes me nervous after last night.
First things first.
I definitely agree. Seeing them struggle to put up a whopping 18 second-half points last night reminded me how they were held to just 4 first-half points against Cincinnati. Any team that is capable of those numbers is hard to trust. The potential is there - both good and bad.

I was in Cancun, it was awful to watch. Thank goodness I wasn't in Vermillion last night, I shudder to think what I might have done. AJ downplayed the choke job. Don't kid yourself, it was an epic choke. Not one player wanted to step up and help Jill near the end. Sorry for the thread drift but I agree. This team is a long way from worrying about seeding in the NCAA tourney.

Ouch...not sure I agree with the statement that not one player wanted to step up and help Jill. I saw it more like coach had her dribble the shot clock down and then run screen and roll trying to have two best players make a play. This has worked in other games, but didn't against the Yotes.
Have to admit, want either Jill or Sunny to get fouled, as both are really good from the line. Make sense to keep ball in Jill's hand til time to shoot. Downside, Jill is not a super ball-handler, and has had a fair amount of TO. I doubt her TO/A ratio exceeds 2.
She certainly was marked, even by the USD announcer, and UMKC's announcer as wanting to go left. Keep forcing her right and she had her struggles.
Jill will need the extra games in the Tourney, and post-season to get the all-time 3's mark for the Summit. I believe Anne Boese of IPFW still leads her by 3 3's.
I saw Bracketology has SDSU predicted to have a 13 seed and playing A&M. The write up says:
"The regular-season champion Jackrabbits are into the semifinals of the Summit League tournement behind Amber Hegge, who led the league in rebounding and field goal percentage."
Was there a post-season trade?

Playing Texas A&M would be a good thing, I think! They are very beatable this year and they don't really have any particular area that will kill you. Like SDSU, they rely on a team effort and balanced scoring to win (unlike last year where Adams could drop 20+ and Colson could sprint passed any defender.) Of course, the official brackets rarely end up like they are projected but it's always fun to speculate!
As a current Aggie, and a future Jackrabbit (moving to Brookings this summer) this is going to be a tough game to watch. Here's hoping for an excellent game!
Working through the Nitty Gritty report on the womens' side, it's looking like the natural seed is right at the 12/13 cut line. Be interesting to see if they get a better seed this year.
The selection committee doing so would be a pleasant surprise. However, the track record is against rounding down rather than up.
