this is the trouble with working at a paper...LOL it is always a day ahead for me...lol have been typing Thursday all day so was thinking they were tonight... opps...lol

I do that all the time as well. It's very rare for me to know what the actual date is instead of what tomorrow's date is.

Jacks cold shooting and SMSU is warm. Jacks do however lead by six at halftime. Jacks really trying to work inside to Lingle and Sunnaborg but SM has a girl that is blocking thier shots. Jill hit her head on the floor hard but has hit three three's in a row since after missing three in a row before she hit her head. Heiser being aggressive all over the floor.

under nine in the second Jacks came out hot on defense allowing only 4 points in nine minutes and lead by 20

final 76 50 SDSU SMSU hung tight in the first leading by five at one time but the Jacks come alive except at the free throw line and beat the stangs.

Thoughts:

1st half was kind of sloppy on both ends.

2nd half the defense really put the clamps down, especially for the first 8 minutes or so.

Free throw shooting was really poor, needs to improve once the season starts.

Like the way Heiser looked running the point, and Paluch didn't look bad either in her minutes.

Waytashek is incredibly long for a perimeter player and could really be tough to shoot over for opponents, but is also quick enough to stay in front of most players on the court. It'll be interesting to see how she is used on that end of the court. IMO, she's the most physically gift player on the team.

Stuart and Clarin really surprised me in a good way with their combination of size, speed, and aggressiveness. Once the college game starts slowing down for them, they have the potential to be scary good.

It seems to me that SDSU's post players don't have much of a problem with being aggresive in taking it to the hole. Stuart and Clarin played a total of 17 minutes and they shot 10 of SDSU's 19 FT's. I'm surprised that Lingle didn't get to the line.
The group of Lingle, Sunnarborg, Stuart and Clarin played 49 minutes and shot 25 of the teams 60 shots. They also shot 12 of the 19 FT's. With post players that are that aggressive, the shooters should get some open shots when their defender drops down to help out.

You can add Dietel in that group of posts as she started the game and went 4 of 5 from the field and 18 minutes according to the box score. And Strop added 16 minutes. We are deeeeeeep at the post position.

Did anyone else notice how muffled the PA system seemed the night of the double header? I've never heard it sound so bad. I couldn't hardly make out what the announcer was saying. I hope that gets fixed asap.

I agree and thought it was worse for the womens game the previous Sunday.

I just put a word into the company that I believe installed and services this system, I suspect that they (SDSU) will receive a call asking them if they need some service tmw . guess it helps to know ppl.
