I was looking at the 2012 NCAA tournament sites and I saw one possibility that seems possible which is playing in Ames, Iowa in the first and second rounds. From there, the Jacks could play in the Des Moines, Ia. regional and play within a five hours drive all the way to the Final Four in Denver, which is about ten hours from Brookings (give or take.) With the relatively short trip, I think it could be some what of a home court advantage. The scary thing is, it could be the same thing for Iowa State and the other Iowa schools. Hopefully the seedings work out in our favor so we can play in Iowa! I think this year will be one of our best teams yet in the Division I era!

Re: 2012 NCAA Tournament possible sites
It would be nice if that happened, but my knee-jerk expectation is that SDSU will be a space filler at a remote site where they're short a local team. That's what's happened each of the last three years; with (IIRC) Ames hosting a regional two of those three years.

Hopefully we can keep recruiting enough new talent along with our upper classmen to hold off Luper and company two more years.Staying healthy will be a big factor. The Summit teams are really stepping up with their recruiting. It's getting a little bit more competative each year.University of Nebraska Omaha got a 6'4" post transfer from NC State ,she's from Nebraska, also,a 6'4" player from California who played HS basketball on a team ranked 8th in the nation. They should be very competative when they join the conference.
