The NCAA wants to establish yet more rules in an already overburdened with rules sport(although, all sports are somewhat overburdened with rules). The refs will have yet another rule they can interpretate as they see it.....good grief, aren't there enough rules already? The urge to "tweak" is just too strong I guess. If the NCAA wants to change a women's rule, how about adding ten seconds to advance the ball past half court just like in mens college ball. Does anyone know if any states use this stupid rule for girls high school ball ?

I don't know the answer to your question. But I do know that it bothers me to no end when I see a women's team sit with the ball in the back court and run the shot clock down to 15 seconds with all 10 players on the floor standing there just resting. ORU did that two years ago many times in a game at Frost because they were resting players and didn't have to take them out, and we let them sit out there!!! Bring the 10 second rule into women's basketball, please! I don't have a problem with the three point line being moved back a foot. It won't change the game much, if at all. Women are shooting well beyond the arc all the time.

I dont see much of an issue. The 3 point lines make it hard to see, so if they could remove one from the court would be a good thing, even though they will keep it for high school, it gives a clear view on the mens line. didnt the womens game have a 15 or 20 second half court violation before? I think its goofy to call intentional fouls flagrent, and leave flagrent fouls also flagrent. That sounds silly to me.
