Re: WNIT Round 3 Thursday at 7 pm

Why not just place it in the middle at the civic center in rapid??? That prolly wouldn't work though... Just over pack frost.. I'm shure their are students that would volunteer to fix the bleachers.. and im shure that the students wouldn't mind to be a lil crowded..

If I was in charge this is what I would do sell out the reserve seats and then the other 4,000+- GA before the game then sell walk-up tickets until the firemarshall locks the door.

Lets win first then we can work out this stuff later... GO JACKS

Didn't think the honeymoon would end so soon, but at least part of me will be officially cheering against SDSU on Thursday.

If I don't unload some of these 24 piece sets my Uncle Rico is going to kick my butt.

If we win Thursday night and Wyoming (home team) beats Oregon, then SDSU will face Wyoming.  Wyoming has a 15,000 seat auditorium.  If they think they can sell more than 7,000 seats for a 4th round game then I would think Wyoming would out bid us for the next round.

Of all the teams that we may face on the road, Wyoming may be one of the toughest.  Their arena is at an elevation of over 7,000 ft.  The air is really thin and I'm not sure how we would adjust to that elevation.  I know we use a lot of players in our rotation, but I don't think anyone would play for more than 20 minutes at that elevation.

As far as RLIV, I recall you live in the Black Hills.  It may be closer for you to travel to Laramie, than Brookings.

            Go State!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Wyoming is possibly the only foe (til K-St) that could make a case that they've done as much (or more) than the Jacks for the WNIT folks. For our ONE game we SOLD 6000+ tix and had 5719 attend. Sold out MORE seats for round 3. So after round 3 (Semi-sweet 16, ;D Thanks Terry V!) SDSU @ about 12K. Wyoming has 6239 thru their TWO GAMES, and if get 6K again, they're right there with us. No other match-up has seen greater than 2K, that's still going in '07.

IMHO, SDSU has abundently demonstrated the ability to host all the way through. We're too good a story for the WNIT to take the chance away from the Rabbits without losing it on the HOME COURT.
