Although I won't be able to be in Frost for this one (darn job), I am glad that the game will be Thursday as I had an evening meeting on Wed. I will be listening on-line in my hotel room Thursday night. Go Jackrabbits!

I have an event Thursday night in Brookings whose success to some degree is dependent on student involvement.

I don't want to get ahead of ourselves but if, oh screw it, when we win Thursday night does anyone know when/where round 4 will be? I'd guess we'll host another game most likely over the weekend. Just thinking that I could maybe make it back if the game was Saturday.

If we win Thursday night and Wyoming (home team) beats Oregon, then SDSU will face Wyoming.  Wyoming has a 15,000 seat auditorium.  If they think they can sell more than 7,000 seats for a 4th round game then I would think Wyoming would out bid us for the next round.

Of all the teams that we may face on the road, Wyoming may be one of the toughest.  Their arena is at an elevation of over 7,000 ft.  The air is really thin and I'm not sure how we would adjust to that elevation.  I know we use a lot of players in our rotation, but I don't think anyone would play for more than 20 minutes at that elevation.

As far as RLIV, I recall you live in the Black Hills.  It may be closer for you to travel to Laramie, than Brookings.

Round 4 (Elite 8) will be March 22-25.  Assuming as you did that we win our game would either be in Brookings (SDSU),  Laramie (Wyoming), or Eugene (Oregon).

I heard Saturday night after the game , but not substantiated that the Jacks will get to host the fourth round in Brookings if we get there. Maybe a combination of our bid, attendence and RPI has something to do with it?

About the same either direction (6-7 hours). But, #1 family in Brookings and #2 Frost Arena
