Seriously, we will probably be in the pool of place to fill a hole. I could see anywhere from a 12-16 seed.

          Re: Champoinship Game GDT

          Whew...again.

Seriously, this ancient arena has to go. More scoreboard and clock problems in a game on national tv. Get you head out of the gutter anti-progress people in Sioux Falls, this city needs a new venue no matter where the cash comes from. And I live here. Raise my taxes, I don't care.

Good, good inside game early and made just enough shots to seal it. It's so nerve wracking when they let the shot clock run down because they typically end up with an empty possession. Not so today. Michelson and Schutloffel (wow what a shot) really came through when they were running clock under 5:00. Needed it too, I could not believe they hit 3 straight from long range after the lead finally, FINALLY, got to 10. I just sat there (stood there) and said "Why can't it just be easy like 2 years ago?"

Katie Lingle's face when she was announced for all tournament team was priceless. She was the only person in the building shocked by it. I do remember her being called very "raw" and kind of a reach. She's improved a ton and showed some real emotion today. Going to need that excitement and emotion with Michelson leaving. The men's team needs a true center like this.

          15 seed?

          This does not get old.

          Congrats ladies.

I don't want say I called it...but I think I wrote in one of the threads a few weeks ago, this is going to be one scary team come tournament time.

Congrats to AJ, the assistants, and the girls.

So proud of those young ladies.

              Re: Champoinship Game GDT

I honestly, feel more happy about this one than last year. The first time was the best, that season was special. But this is a very very close second.. The way these ladies responded down the stretch is amazing. They could have folded it in and said, well, next year... instead they fought... and learned a valuable lesson. If you want something, and are willing to work hard, good things do come to deserving people and these ladies deserve this trip.

SO proud to be a Jackrabbit fan this weekend of both the men and women.

                  Re: Champoinship Game GDT

have to admit, i was one of the "doubters"---not that i thought they were a bad team, i was just thinking maybe this just isn't their year. then, they started to go on that run---and, gave oru a fight (on the road). then came the time for that final 3 game road stretch. it can be tough to win on the road---so, i was thinking if they could get at least 1 win out of those 3 (and at least play well on the road) they should be ok going into the tourney. wow---what a boost winning all three!

sure gave me a feeling this was going to be an interesting tourney!---and, they did it.

a tip of the hat to the jacks!!! good luck in the "big dance"!!!

This group is a true "team". Each player seems to fill a variety of different roles and can do more than just one thing well. They have been playing without fear and such confidence of late. Congrats!

                      Re: Champoinship Game GDT

Yes a Champion team, of only 11 players suited, and 12 players averaging > 10 min/game. Who do you guard? Some one else will explode for a big game.

Kristen - Congrats on MVP of Summit tourney, and tying the 3's top player in SDSU history.
Schutt - Calmly canning a tre to nail the Griz coffin shut.
Macie - The little engine that can, did again.
Sunny - 1 assist short of a double double.
Jill - Sent to the line to get the lead to 7 for only point.

Ran the Griz down, and secured a 3rd straight Summit title. WOW

This reminds me of a AA meeting, everyone sitting in a circle and one by one stand up and say "Hi,I'm a alcoholic ....(gives story supporting this claim)except in this case we substitute "Hi,yes,I'm a doubter"....lol,confession must be good for the soul, heal this person and cast out all doubt.
