Anyone know if SDSU holds the tie-breaker over Oakland? IPFW? Both of them losing tonight would be huge and possibly put SDSU into a #2 seed for the tournament and give us all a reason to hit the afternoon session on Saturday!!

    Saturday:
    12:00 #1 (ORU) vs. #8 (WIU)
    2:30 #2 (IPFW) vs. #7 (UMKC)

    Sunday:
    12:00 #4 (Oakland) vs. #5 (SUU)
    2:30 #3 (SDSU) vs. #6 (NDSU)

    Monday:
12:00 Winner of #1/#8 Game vs. Winner of #4/#5 Game
2:30 Winner of #2/#7 Game vs. Winner of #3/#6 Game

    Tuesday:
    Championship TBD

Not 100% on the times of each matchup but confident that I have the seeding correct.

    Go Jacks!!

    Tiebreaker Procedures
Tiebreaker procedures shall be used ONLY to determine seeds for the League tournament. Regular season standings shall stand.

    • If there are multiple ties, the ties shall be broken in descending order. (i.e., a tie at the #1 position will be broken before any others).
    • Once a tie is broken using the procedures below, it shall remain broken for purposes of all future comparisons.
    • Two-team Tiebreaking Criteria. The following criteria should be applied (in order) to break ties between two teams:

    1. Results of head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
    2. Comparison of each tied team's record against the team occupying the highest position in the standings continuing down through the standings until a team gains an advantage.
    3. When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team's record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to that group's own tie-breaking procedure) rather than the performance against individual tied teams.
    4. If a tie still cannot be broken after applying criteria (1), (2) and (3), it will be broken by comparing each tied team's RPI (based upon the RPIRankings.com Report issued on the morning following the last regular season League game).

    • Multiple-Team Tiebreaking Criteria. The following criteria should be applied to break ties between more than two teams:

    1. Results of each tied team's collective record against the other teams tied for the same position.
    2. If multiple ties still remain, then each tied team's record shall be compared to the team or group (if 2 or more are tied) occupying the highest position in the standings continuing down through the standings until a team gains an advantage.
    3. If the above results in two teams remaining, the two-team tiebreaker is used.

I believe TV said that the women could be no less than the 3rd seed. The potential for a 2nd seed is there.

If both lose tonight, the Jacks tie with IPFW and we are the 2 seed. If IPFW loses and Oakland wins, there is a 3-way tie,and IPFW is the 2 and we are the 3. We hold all tiebreakers over Oakland,so we cannot end up lower than 3.

Has anyone see the moving BASEketball? The guys from south park. during the movie they are in the tournament and the announcers break down the seedings and its as confusing as heck, the above breakdown reminds me of that scene.
