With sincerity, Thank you for your service. Thats a great way of expressing the joy of victory. Our ladies did come through last night. I do not see them taking on UConn, but who knows how far they can go once they get through the SL tourney.

what a fantastic way to finish up the season! congrats to the team, AJ, and the staff!

imo, no matter how the tourney turns out (should be interesting!), a very positive step going into next season. wow, seems strange to use "next" already.

p.s.---hard to believe jill young will be a senior. (have to admit, with her being a sd native, i followed her game a little more closely)

From 5-10 to 16-13, a great finish to the season. If you look at some of the losses in the first 15 games, Middle Tn St is 22-6 and leading the Sunbelt East Division, Kansas St is 18-9 and 5th in the Big 12, Northern Iowa i thought was a bad loss back then but they are going to win the Missouri Valley Conference, they are 15-1, 22-5 overall. Arizona St is 17-9, Iowa is 21-7. We beat Hampton and they are going to win their conference, they are 22-6. And we beat Illinois St , they are 18-8 and in 3rd in the Missouri Valley Conference. Cant wait for next weekend. I hope the women end up 3rd seed or im not going to be able to watch them on Saturday.

She didn't play, and I'm not sure why, but I wouldn't read too much into it. Macie was better than she has been all season, and finally looking like the point guard we had last year. And Heiser has moved ahead of Paluch as far as I can see over the last 3-4 games, and she only had 3 minutes of playing time and Schutt only 2 minutes. With Leah Dietel and Ashley Eide back, AJ was giving them a lot more time, using a variety of lineups...which makes sense as we move into the tournament as they can use all the playing time they can get.

Is it safe to say the sleeping giant is now awake? I don't know about the rest of you, but I already have SDSU winning the Summit and making the tourney. It's (almost) March and who cares if they get a 16 seed at the NCAA's, it's all about the experience for the team! Go Jacks!

The only negative that I can think of about this game was Rotert going 2-6 in FT's and 0-4 from the 3 point line. I know that doesn't make much of a difference but I was really pleased with this game.

The big 4 stepped up. This is the 1st game this year when I think Macie, Jill, Jen and Rotert all played well. They scored 51 of the teams 64 points and did the other things to help the team. Weather it was rebounds, assists, defense, etc...; they played well.
Turnovers or the lack there of. I wonder how many times this year we won the turnover battle. How many times have we only had 11 turnovers in a game?

I hope we play like this in SF because if we do, we'll be tough to beat.

I think its a crap shoot between ORU The furry elephants we don't speak of our us and a long shot to oakland. ORU has talent but its hard lossing a big part of the team in Bingham, IPFW I think over acheived and is prime for an upset but they have played well enough most of the confrence season, and we have been the hottest team the second half of confrence play. We beat 3 teams on the road that beat us at home, but we did it to end the year, for their sake I hope other teams took notice. gosh I hope we get the #2 seed. which is really where this team should have been expected to finish.

SDSU has averaged 15.3 turnovers per game during this last nine game stretch. The Jacks have not had more than 25 turnovers since Jan. 22 (vs. IPFW).

It sure beats having 38 in a game, like earlier this year at Middle Tennessee State.

Yep! If we avg around 15 TO's/gm during the Summit Tourney we'll be dancin' again
