Agree with you jackdaniel. Unless ORU falls apart totally, they are going to be the 1 seed. We need that 2 or 3 seed so we avoid ORU in the semifinals in Sioux Falls, and see them in the finals. yeah I said finals.

That two or three seed may not come. Ipfw much improved game there, OU very good, Jacks don't play well at all at the O'Rena (one win and that was overtime the first game there) rest were blowouts by OU. ORU at their place? Hope there are some upsets but 5-6 seed looks more like it.

Big scoring by the juniors and seniors, but in my opinion, Katie Lingle was the player of the game last night. It was her energy, rebounding (13 boards), and defensive effort (six blocks) that really sparked the team to pull away.

I believe they said on the radio broadcast that Lingle had/has a strained Achilles.

Very impressed with Kristen Rotert's aggressiveness on offense and defense last night. She has rebounded so well recently.

As of right now,Oak being up three games on everyone 5-5 (SDSU,SUU,West Ill,NDSU),their record 8-2,they pretty well have the number two seed,unless they lose a whole lot of games .So,one and two seed are basically un-reachable,unless we win out and Oakland loses three games.

The real fight is for number three seed with IPFW two games ahead of the 5-5's.Everyone from here on out has about 4 tough games (of course they HAVE to win the games they should).Head to head games are really important.IPFW has to lose more than the 5-5's.It's basically in the hands of the 5-5's who gets the fourth seed & possibly the third if IPFW falters.Also,just about forgot,Western Ill has the hardest schedule left facing IPFW,Oak,SDSU,NDSU,SUU,ORU.

Ok, I'll admit I maybe got ahead of myself with the 2 or 3 seed comment. I agree that the 2 seed is more than likely out of reach, especially with our remaining schedule. The 3 seed is a possibility. I guess our best chance is to be in the opposite bracket as ORU and that means if the 2 seed is a reach for us, then the 3 or 6 seed are better options as it keeps us in the opposite bracket as ORU.

No Offense, but I really disagree that it makes a difference where they end up. This team does not that that luxuary of marking games a win. Any team is going to have to go through ORU sometime, so to think it makes a differce by getting to the final is not accurate. It should would be good drama to meet them in the final again. This team just for its psychological advantage needs to try to get the highest seed it can get.

I agree goon that the highest seed possible is what everyone should want, including myself. I also wasn't trying to say we have any games marked as wins on our schedule. I haven't been clear, but my point is that ORU is the one team that will be in the conference tournament that we seem to struggle with more than other teams. So getting a chance to avoid them prior to the finals would be key, because anything can happen in a title game held in Sioux Falls...if we both get there. I know I know...you have to beat them sometime.

I think you have to factor into it that ORU wants to beat SDSU, if anything, a LOT more than most other SL teams want to, IMHO . . . we came sailing in and took away a conference that they thought was "theirs" . . .
