    Re: UNI gdt

The rotation at the guard spot makes you scratch your head. Heiser goes from going so deep in the doghouse that she didn't even get in the games to 25 minutes, while Paluch, who helped lead the comeback against NDSU and played really well at Wash. State only played 5. Must be some injury/illness issues at work. Macie also played limited minutes - did she come back too early ?

Heiser wasn't in the "doghouse" for any reason...but AJ told me that she hadn't demonstrated in practice that she was ahead of any of the other guards for getting in the games. However, in the same conversation, he said that unless some gametime playing improved by others, she might well be playing soon. That apparently happened two days later. As for Macie, I'm not sure whether she came back early, but in all fairness, after missing practice and playing time for as long as she did, it is probably going to take awhile to get her back up to speed.

This team has no identify. No consistancy what so ever. when practice started AJ said he was making changes to the team. Our we not figuring out the changes or not good enough to effectively do what is needed? I have not yet watched them play, but are we running plays and looking any different from last year or were changes made that are noticeable.

I was at the game along with about 10 SDSU fans in the "crowd" of 645 that included perhaps 20 UNI students...not counting cheerleaders and dance team.

Besides the turnovers, UNI's point guard consistently beat the defense off the dribble and drove the lane for layups with no one stepping in to stop her. No one was able to finish down low for the Jacks. Eide had a couple of nice drives down the lane for baskets. Jill Young did not put up a shot in 10-minutes of action. Rotert looked good but no one else stepped forward. Toward the end, when the game was decided, everything the Panthers were throwing up was going in...leading to the lopsided score.

The officiating, I would say, was not the best.
